Ingredients - I (For grinding)
Coriander leaves - 2 big bunches
Red Chillies - 8 to 10
Tamarind - small lemon size
Salt - As per your taste
Ingredients - II (For seasoning)
Gingelly Oil - 4 to 5 tbl spoons
Mustard - 1/2 tbl spoon
Urad dhal - 1/2 tbl spoon
Asafoetida - 1/2 tbl spoon
1) Grind all the items mentioned in Ingredients - I.
2) Take a shallow pan. Pour the oil in it. Add mustard and urad dhal to it. When it starts spluttering, add asafoetida. Finally add the ground mixture.
3) Let it boil for some time. Close it with a lid to avoid spraying out when boiling. Let it boil till the oil separates.
4) Your tasty and healthy coriander chutney is ready now. You can have it with idly, dosa, roti or even pongal.
